Terms of Service

License Grant

Bug Pocket grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the Application strictly for your personal or internal business purposes on Windows devices owned or controlled by you. The Application is licensed, not sold.

Local Data Storage and Backups

Bug Pocket is a local-first application. All data, including bug reports, screenshots, and configuration settings, are stored locally on your device (e.g., via SQLite). You acknowledge and agree that Bug Pocket does not back up your data to any cloud service or remote server. You are solely responsible for managing, securing, and backing up your own data. Bug Pocket assumes no liability for any data loss, corruption, or hardware failure.

Third-Party APIs and Data Processing (BYOK)

The Application allows you to integrate with third-party artificial intelligence providers (such as Google Gemini or OpenAI) by supplying your own Application Programming Interface (API) keys.

User Responsibility: You are entirely responsible for the data (including screenshots and text) that you choose to transmit to these third-party services.

Liability & Costs: Bug Pocket assumes no liability for the privacy practices, data retention policies, or security of these third-party providers. You are solely responsible for any costs, fees, or overages incurred on your third-party API accounts resulting from the use of the Application.

Restrictions on Use

You may not, and you agree not to enable others to:

• Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Application.
• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Application, its UI, or its underlying logic to build a competitive product.
• Use the Application for any unlawful purpose or to capture data you do not have the right to capture.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The Application is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. Bug Pocket does not warrant that the Application will be error-free, secure, or function without interruption.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Bug Pocket, its creators, or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Application; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party; or (iii) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
