Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 2026
Your data is yours. Period.

01

Data Collection

Bug Pocket is designed to be a local-first application. We do not collect, transmit, or store your bug reports, screenshots, or taxonomy data on our servers. All application data is stored in a local SQLite database on your machine.

If you use our Contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you explicitly provide, solely for the purpose of customer support.

Update Checks: The Bug Pocket desktop application periodically connects to our hosting infrastructure (Vercel/AWS) to check for software updates. These standard network requests inherently expose your IP address to our infrastructure providers, but we do not log, track, or associate these IP addresses with identifiable users.

02

Local First Approach

By default, Bug Pocket operates completely offline. Your integrations (such as Jira or Linear) communicate directly from your local machine to those external APIs. We do not proxy these requests or monitor your tokens. Your SQLite data and image hashes never leave the local machine unless you explicitly opt into the upcoming Cloud Sync feature.

03

Third-Party Services

Our website uses Vercel for hosting and Resend for routing contact form emails. We do not deploy tracking scripts, advertising pixels, or invasive analytics on this marketing site.

Within the Desktop Application, you may optionally connect Third-Party APIs (such as Jira, Linear, Google Gemini, or OpenAI). When you utilize these integrations (e.g., clicking "AI Triage"), the application transmits your local bug reports and screenshots directly to your configured provider. This data is never routed through Bug Pocket's servers, but its handling is governed entirely by the privacy policies of the third-party services you connect.

04

User Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Since we do not hold your application data, there is no data for us to delete. If you have contacted us via email and wish for your support tickets to be permanently deleted from our support inbox, please contact us.
